Background
Bella Boss Box was a quarterly subscription box for Black women business owners founded by Nakita Pope and Nekeidra Taylor. Our mission was to support women, like us, in mind, body, spirit, and strategy. We also engaged women in an online community through collaboration, networking, and education. This community was a no-judgment zone where subscribers could receive the support they need from like-minded women.
Challenge
To create a brand that is a community for Black women business owners. We wanted it to be sophisticated but have the voice of an older (and wiser) big sister who can give advice and resources to help other women run
their businesses.

VISUAL IDENTITY
The brand's aesthetic is “Afropolitan chic”, which includes bold and graphic illustrations paired with traditional African patterns and photography. We want to show the diversity of Black women in a way that tells their stories and engages our audience.

The Bella Brigade was our private community for subscribers. This community of women dedicated to building their businesses was created to provide resources, conversation and education for our subscribers. We also offered exclusive content, events and promotions there.
